About us... Impronta means mark. Trace. The impression a thing leaves behind. It's the right name for what we do. We represent documentaries that don't disappear when the credits roll, films about power, identity, memory, resistance, and the complicated business of being alive. Politically engaged work. Formally ambitious work. Films made by directors who had no choice but to make them. Based in London, with roots in Argentina, Spain and USA, we work with filmmakers from across the world to bring their stories to international audiences through festivals, broadcast, and distribution. We are a small company by design. Every film we represent gets our full attention, our honest assessment, and our genuine commitment to finding it the audiences it deserves. If a project isn't right for us, we'll say so and try to point you somewhere it might be. Impronta Films was founded by a documentary sales agent born in Spain, raised in Argentina, with a background spanning filmmaking, production, and international sales. The company is based in the UK. Our founder has served as jury member at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and MiradasDoc Market Jury, as rough cut preselection committee member for both IDFA and Sheffield DocFest, as well as expert panelist for Medimed on their Anti Pitch Greece. Impronta has represented work across Hot Docs, IDFA, Sheffield DocFest, CPH:DOX, Berlinale, Thessaloniki and others. We co-run the Blueprint Doc Award, a mentorship initiative for documentary filmmakers in collaboration with major Film Festivals worldwide. We take on few films. The ones we take on, we fight for.
